The Contributors

Norman is Professor Emeritus of Medical Genetics, Queen's University of Belfast and Head of the Northern Regional Genetics Service. He has held the positions of secretary, vice-president and president of the UK Clinical Genetics Society as well as serving on various national and international committees notably the Human Genetics Advisory Commission. He is a member of the European Concerted Action for congenital abnormalities. Professor Nevin was a founder member of the UK Gene Therapy Advisory Committee. His research interests have resulted in over 300 peer reviewed publications on various aspects of genetics, especially single gene disorders and congenital abnormalities.

Michael was formerly a minister at All Souls, Langham Place, and is now Theological Advisor for UCCF. His doctorate is in systematic theology from King's College, London.

Steve originally trained in the history and philosophy of science and is currently Professor of Sociology at Warwick University. He is a prolific author and speaker and his works have been translated into 15 different languages. He is an outspoken advocate of Intelligent Design and his books include Science vs Religion and Dissent Over Descent.

Alistair is currently Chaplain at Heriot-Watt University and has a particular interest in the relationship between science and faith. His doctorate is in Glacial and Post Glacial Environmental Change and he worked as an enviromental scientist in both Wales and Scotland before entering the Church of Scotland ministry.

Andy is Professor of Thermodynamics and Combustion Theory at Leeds University and has spent thirty years in research in these fields. He has recently led a team in developing a new technology based on their research in biomimetics.

Alistair is lecturer in Biblical and Theological Studies at Moorlands College. He has degrees in both physics and theology.

John is Research Professor of Chemistry at St Andrews University

R T Kendall is an author, speaker and teacher and was pastor of Westminster Chapel, London for 25 years

Geoff was a Senior Research Scientist in the Department of Veterinary Medicine, University of Cambridge for seven years. He has been a Senior Lecturer in Biological Sciences at three other UK Universities and a visiting scientist at the Weizmann Institute in Israel.

David has a master’s degree in mathematics from the University of Oxford and a bachelor’s in theology from the University of Glamorgan. He was involved in church planting in the UK before moving to Eldoret, Kenya where he currently serves as a missionary and a lecturer at the pastor’s training college.

Andrew is studying towards a PhD in theology at Exeter University examining the science, theology and philosophy of the intelligent design arguments. He has an MSc in Environmental Decision Making and works as a specialist weather forecaster in the environmental arena. He is the author of Restoring the Ethics of Creation.

Phil has been in pastoral ministry for the past 23 years and has led churches in Coventry, Birmingham and Swansea. He is currently pastor of the Elim Church in Dundonald, Belfast. He has a master’s degree in theology from Manchester University.

Greg is the Senior Pastor at Westminster Chapel, London. He has pastored for 30 years and travels widely as a conference speaker, preacher and lecturer. He is the author of several books including, Preach the Word, A Radical Encounter with God, The Man who Wrestled with God and Moving in the Prophetic.
